MY FACIAL SKINCARE ROUTINE - 2018
What do I do when I don't have time to apply my makeup some mornings?
I simply go barefaced.
But am I confident in the way my skin looks to go barefaced?
A few months ago, the answer would have been negative. But now, it's different.
The beginning of the year was rough. I wasn't drinking my water nor was I exercising. I wasn't consistent with my skincare routine either so it showed in the way my face looked: my skin was dry, my pores were huge, I had whiteheads and blackheads, mostly around my nose and chin.
When I was tired enough to do something about it, I did: I decided to become consistent with my skincare routine. Not only that, I switched to all natural and organic products. Let's see what I use now.
Cleansers & Exfoliants
I usually wash my face with the bar soap I shower, which is the Kiss my Face with olive oil and chamomile. It doesn't strip my skin and I save time cleansing my face while I shower. Then I'd just go on toning and moisturizing. When I feel like I need a deeper cleansing, I'll do one of these two things:

2) I'll exfoliate with an equal part of bentonite clay mixed with aloe vera juice. You could also use water but I get a creamier texture when the clay is mixed with the aloe vera juice. I love this mask because I love the pulling feeling on my skin. To me, it's proof of all toxins and other impurities being pulled out of my skin.
Toner
Like I mentioned in my last skincare routine post, I use a mix of apple cider vinegar with water to tone. I mix 1/4 part of apple cider vinegar to 3/4 part of filtered water then pour a few drops on a flat cotton pad to gently rub it over my face. I let it dry completely before moisturizing my face.

Moisturizer
I decided to moisturize with this aloe vera juice. I fill up a spray bottle with the juice and just spray it over my face and neck. I usually pat my face and neck for better absorption and promote blood circulation.
My current skincare routine doesn't take me a long time at night so I'm able to be consistent with it. Another reason why I chose all-natural products is that I've found the perfume in some skincare products bothersome. One may think the smell of the apple cider vinegar would bother me, but I don't smell it at all after spraying the aloe vera juice on my face.
Currently, I'm not using any specific serum around my eyes or a lip balm as my whole face is moisturized with the aloe vera juice. I am trying out a new face peeling mask but I may just go back to the one I was using previously.
I'm happy with my routine so far. I like how practical the whole process is. I'm already seeing results: my pores look smaller, my face is hydrated and I can wear my face bare anytime.
Is there room for improvement? Yes, because I still have acne scars on my forehead... and I need to amp my water and exercise game. Nonetheless, I'm proud of the progress I've made so far.
