MY EXPERIENCE: GARNIER FRUCTIS DAMAGER ERASER STRENGTH RECONSTRUCTING BUTTER

If I said I wasn't impressed with those commercials advertising the Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser line, that would be a lie. To this day, I'm resisting the need to buy both shampoo and conditioner because I don't need them right now, meaning that I can invest in something else that I need. Thus the reason why I picked up this butter. As I was reading the instructions and ingredients' list, it sounded to me the purpose of this "butter" was to deep condition, although it says to leave it on for only 5 minutes.

I went home and deep conditioned the first time with it without heat for 2 hours (I was doing chores and lost track of time) The layers (2 plastic bags and a towel) must have moved or I left the product on for too long because my hair was hard when I rinsed it out. I left it under the sink to give it another try the following month.

The second time, I deep conditioned with it with my soft hooded bonnet attachment for the recommended 5 minutes... When the time was up to rinse it out, all around my nape and edges were hard and dry but the middle of my hair was moisturized... Again, I left it under the restroom sink to use the following month.

A couple of months have then passed... Last month I decided to go at it again, this time for 30 minutes, with my usual 3 layers. I have watched videos where the ladies mentioned how moisturizing the product was. I knew it could be moisturizing but the result wasn't uniform. Well, the third time was a charm :) My hair was moisturized all around and I loved the results after I rinsed the butter out. I'm glad I didn't throw it out! My hair was soft and strong!

After such wonderful results, the temptation to buy both shampoo and conditioner is stronger than ever: should I keep using the products I know that work for my hair until I reach that goal, or should I keep searching for something better that can help me reach my goal even faster...? That's my current struggle.

But the products that I haven't tried out are not going anywhere (hopefully!), so I'll have time to try them out after I reach my shoulder (or armpit) hair length.

I'll continue to enjoy hair journey until then :)
