MY EXPERIENCE: SOFT BONNET ATTACHMENT

I purchased this soft bonnet attachment from a Chinese store on Amazon.ca, for less than $5.00, no tax or shipping. I wanted to know how effective a soft bonnet attachment can be comparing to a hard hooded dryer. I've had a hard hooded dryer before, but I'm not ready to invest in a new one at the moment. And I really liked the convenience of having a hooded dryer that won't take much space, something that I can take with me if I ever travel.

The convenience of buying anything from the online Chinese stores is the price and the fact that the shipping is always free or very minimal. The con to that is the shipping always takes a long time. Before purchasing it, I've read mixed reviews about it and at some point was a bit hesitant. But I didn't have much to lose so I ordered it. After several weeks it finally arrived. And I've been using it ever since.

I currently set my hair on rollers every wash day, and air drying my hair wasn't giving me the result I wanted. When I air dry my roller set and want to take the rollers down at the end of the day, the ends would still be wet. With this soft bonnet attachment - like any other branded soft bonnet attachment - dries my whole hair, including my ends. It has a cord you can tighten so the bonnet doesn't fly away when you turn the blow dryer on. But one thing I can't do with it is using it to deep conditioner, because, I have to say, the rollers also help keep the bonnet in place!

Overall, I'm not disappointed in my purchase. It's definitely fulfilling its purpose which was to dry my ends under the hair rollers. If I want to include other routine in my regime, like deep conditioning with heat or steaming, I can either find a way to work with it or purchase a steamer or a hard hooded dryer. But so far so good.

If someone wants to invest in a soft bonnet attachment for their blow dryers, I would advise that person to invest in a branded one if they can afford it, and as long as its use will be compatible to their hair routine.

2019 YEAR-END REFLECTIONS

So after many months since my last post back in May, I decided to check my stats tonight. After 5 years of existence, 66 posts (this one will make 67), JenMajBeauty.com has gathered 10073 views. I was quite surprised actually, considering the many life circumstances I had to navigate through to reach that number. I didn't expect it at all.
