2017 was the year of oils and serums for me because I've invested in a lot of them, looking for the perfect one that will provide great slip and other detangling properties that would help me retain my hair length. The Garnier Whole Blends Smoothing Oil with coconut oil and cocoa butter is great, but it's inconvenient to apply when my hands are wet. Enter the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum.
It's a clear, viscous oil. The pump makes it easy to re-apply as needed even when my hands are wet. It smells the same way as the leave-in conditioner, very fruity, not overpowering, and I love it. It pairs well with any liquid or creamy leave-in conditioner. After washing and deep conditioning my hair, I apply my liquid leave-in and use 3-5 pumps of the oil, only because I have thick hair and also need to know my strands are coated with this goodness for a great detangling session. It doesn't weigh my hair down, and the shine it provides after setting my hair on rollers to air dry or blow dry is simply amazing.

I can't recall how many bottles of this serum I've bought since I started using it last year. So it's become a staple. I just can't envision a wash day without it. I also use it when moisturizing and sealing my ends throughout the week. But I will use only a third or half a pump on each of the 5-6 sections of my hair.
