************
As you can see from the picture above, I've been using this oil for quite some time now. As much as I raved about the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment, me being me, I got bored with it (I do get bored easily). I was also looking forward to using this oil when it first came out. So my boredom hit at the right moment! So far, this oil does not disappoint. It's very lightweight, very transparent and thin. It lives up to its claims, leaving my hair smooth and soft with every use. It doesn't leave my hair greasy at all. Because of this oil, I was able to reduce the amount of time I spend on hair care during the week. I've used it both on dry and wet/damp hair. I must say that I like it on wet hair the most:
- At first, I was using it to seal in moisture during my moisturizing and sealing sessions. It would always be easier to detangle my hair since it would be so smooth.
- Recently, I started using it on wash days, right after I apply my leave-in conditioner. I apply 3 - 4 pumps of the oil while my hair is still wet. Then I would roller set and air dry my hair. This way keeps my hair smooth and moisturized for the whole week, which means I am left with one or two scalp massage sessions to do during the week... and of course, make sure my hair looks decent before I leave the house in the morning (minimum weekly manipulation!).
Will I repurchase?
Although the smell is not my favorite thing about this product - even if it doesn't smell as strong as the leave-in conditioner from that same line -, I would still consider it as an option to seal moisture in my hair and keep it smooth. I may not repurchase it right away after I run out. I may either go back to an old favorite or move on to try the new ones that came out this winter, just to keep my hair care routine interesting and fun. But overall, it's a great product.
