WASH & DEEP CONDITION 2017 featuring GARNIER WHOLE BLENDS LEGENDARY OLIVE Replenishing Shampoo & Conditioner

I’m always excited when I get to use new hair products. I’m even more excited when those products have my favorite ingredients like the Garnier Whole Blends Legendary Olive. I discovered this line at my local drugstore on January 1st and purchased the shampoo based on the smell alone! I fell instantly in love! After seeing a short mention of this line on this Youtube video (starting at 1:38), I went back to the store the next day and bought the conditioner and leave-in conditioner too!

Garnier Whole Blends Legendary Olive Replenishing Shampoo, Conditioner, and Transforming Leave-in Conditioner

I’ve been using the leave-in conditioner when moisturizing and sealing since my last relaxer touch-up and my hair just loved it! The smell is almost an elegant smell and it lingers. For some reason, my hair has been particularly dry this winter so my hair has been very happy with this leave-in.
For wash day, I did my hot oil treatment with my oil mix as usual. But because of the dryness I’ve been experiencing, I kept it on for more than 2 hours.

I rinsed the oil out of my hair then shampoo with the Legendary Olive Replenishing Shampoo. I must say this shampoo is all I was looking for since Tresemme Naturals has been discontinued! The color, consistency, and lather are just great! The shampoo is very runny. I didn’t need to shampoo a second time for my hair to feel cleansed, but I did anyway as I had product build-up. The second time my hair felt squeaky clean. It didn’t lather much the first time – foam was almost non-existent because of the product build-up. It did lather the second time but not very much either.

Then I proceeded to deep condition with the Legendary Olive Replenishing Conditioner for an hour. Upon applying the conditioner, my fingers felt coated and I was fearing the conditioner would coat my hair and just sit on top of it. And the conditioner is surprisingly thicker than the leave-in conditioner. But it didn't coat my hair. I didn’t have trouble rinsing it all out and my hair didn't feel weight down at all.

I removed the excess water with a t-shirt and detangled my hair with Mane n’ Tail detangler. At two weeks post, one shouldn't have any problem detangling their hair. But as you may have noticed, my hair still had some texture from my last relaxer touch-up so detangling after my deep conditioning session left me very impressed with this conditioner.

Since I was going to set my hair on rollers, I applied some ORS setting lotion. I then applied a quarter size amount of the Legendary Olive Transforming Leave-in Conditioner and sealed that with the ORS heat protection serum. My damp hair was as soft and shiny as it’s ever been!

I set my hair on rollers and sprayed some ORS Oil Sheen. My hair air dried for about 4 hours because I got caught up in doing chores and going grocery shopping. I then attached my soft bonnet to my blow dryer and finished drying my hair alternating between the cool and warm settings, just to make sure that my ends were completely dry before taking the rollers down. My hair didn’t have that crunchy feeling after taking the rollers down. My hair was shiny and laid and soft!

Are those products keepers? Definitely YES!!! The shampoo will definitely become a staple unless Garnier discontinues it. The leave-in conditioner is already implemented in my moisturizing and sealing routine (which I will update soon). I’m not too sure about the conditioner since I already have a staple deep conditioner. And I also had trouble getting the conditioner out of the bottle because of the thickness of it; the bottle was slipping out of my wet hands! But overall, I'm extremely pleased with this line and I will incorporate it in my hair routine.
