************

I like it when I go to my favorite drugstores, I find the sample sizes of products that I either have tried before or that I'd like to try. So one can imagine my excitement when I found the sample size of this shampoo during a random visit to my local drugstore. I've always wanted to try this brand and have had great experiences with their hair oil before. So I picked it up without second thoughts.

Excitement continues to build until that wash day when I got to use it. Because of the opaque packaging, one can't really see the color of the shampoo. I was expecting a clear or white/off-white color when pouring the shampoo on my hand, but a yellowish/gold colored shampoo came out instead. I liked the fact that the color of the shampoo matches the color of the cap and the gold in OGX's logo...

Anyway... I like the fact that the perfume is not strong. The consistency is in the middle, not too runny and not too thick either. I always do my pre-shampoo treatment before using this shampoo with Aloe Vera Juice and my oil mix. It lathers well but not too much. After I rinse it out, my hair is clean and shines like never before!

Will I continue to use this shampoo, though? Unfortunately, no. Here is why:

1) For some reason, I can't commit to just one shampoo... I'm still looking for that perfect and healthiest moisturizing shampoo for my hair.

2) Because I've had experience with sulfate free shampoos in the past which I did not review on this blog. They tend to make my hair dry because of the sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate ingredient, which apparently makes the hair as dry or even drier than when using SLS. So I don't want to risk drying out my hair. But some other hair types have benefited and/or will continue to benefit from this product.

In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy the softness and shine this shampoo provides until I find my perfect moisturizing shampoo match.
