This product review is way overdue as I've been using these products for quite some time now. I purchased this set after Tresemme Naturals was discontinued. I was looking for products that contain similar ingredients (aloe vera and avocado oil), and with similar consistency. Both shampoo and conditioner contain avocado oil which is one of the featured ingredients, and aloe leaf juice is also in the ingredients' list. This was the reason why I purchased this set first before buying the Tresemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish.
They were both on sale at Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drugmart) for $4.99 at the time of purchase. I usually don't care for conditioners as I find them unnecessary to my hair care routine since I deep condition weekly, so I feel the extra manipulation is not needed. Nonetheless, I wanted to know what the consistency was like and how well the products work together.
Garnier Whole Blends Nourishing Shampoo
I was surprised to see how runny this shampoo was! For some reason, I expected its color to be white. So I was a bit shocked to see that it was yellow. Although it contains both laureth and lauryl sulfates, the shampoo is very moisturizing and I don't need to shampoo twice to have clean scalp and hair. It doesn't strip my hair either.
Directions: Massage into wet hair, lather & rinse thoroughly. Follow with our Nourishing Conditioner. For extra care, indulge in our Nourishing mask treatment.
Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamide Mea, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Chloride, Cl 15985, Cl 19140, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Tocopherol, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Salicylic Acid, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Dimethicone, Fumaric Acid, Linalool, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Carbomer, Persea Gratissima Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Citric Acid, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Glycerin, Parfum.
Garnier Whole Blends Nourishing Conditioner
The conditioner is a great complement to the shampoo as it smooths and softens the hair, so much so that I could detangle my hair with this conditioner if I wanted to! It has a creamier consistency than the shampoo, it's not runny and it's also yellow. It can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment or a co-wash as it provides good slip. I can smell the shea butter more in the conditioner than the shampoo.
Directions: After shampooing, apply a generous amount of conditioner to hair from root to tip. Gently work through hair, then rinse. For extra care, indulge in our Nourishing mask treatment.

Will I repurchase?
I'm all for hair products that nourish, moisturize, smooth, and soften my hair, and I believe this line of shampoo and conditioner really delivers on their claims. But the smell is too strong for my taste. It's very perfumy. That would be the only reason why I wouldn't repurchase. Other than that, those are great products for moisture.
